Orleans House Gallery in Twickenham has opened its annual call for artists living or working in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames — which includes Barnes — to submit work for its Winter Show, running from 4 December 2026 to 7 February 2027.
The exhibition is free to apply for, and selected artists pay nothing to take part. All exhibitors will also have the opportunity to sell their work during the show's run. The opening weekend, on 5 and 6 December, coincides with the gallery's Christmas Shopping Weekend, which typically draws a good crowd and gives exhibiting artists a strong early audience.
The deadline for applications is 11.59pm on Wednesday 23 September 2026, leaving around seven weeks for interested artists to prepare their submissions.
The Winter Show has historically been a well-regarded platform for emerging and mid-career artists across the borough. Barnes has a lively creative community, and the gallery is accessible from the village via a short bus or cycle ride.
Full details and the application form are available on the Richmond Council website.
