Friday 14 – Sunday 16 August. Europe’s biggest Mexican food and drink festival — 40 taqueria traders (tacos capped at £4), a free tequila and mezcal tasting tent, mariachis and luchadores, at the Richmond Athletic Ground.

Saturday 15 August, 10am–8pm. A Caribbean food and drink festival in Ravenscourt Park — jerk, rum, reggae and street food, a short hop over the border from Chiswick.

Wednesday 9 – Sunday 14 September. The 18th Chiswick Book Festival — author talks, debates and children’s events across Bedford Park and Chiswick, raising money for local literacy charities.

The third Sunday of September, 11am–4:15pm. A much-loved free dog show on the cricket pitch by the Staveley Road entrance — 17 fun classes from Waggiest Tail to My Dog’s Got Talent, in aid of Chiswick House & Gardens Trust.

Wednesday 21 – Thursday 22 October. Fulham’s free community music festival returns to Sands End for its second edition, showcasing professional musicians alongside young local talent.

Friday 13 November – Sunday 3 January. The UK’s original after-dark festive light trail winds through Kew Gardens — illuminated installations, colour tunnels, a fairground and street food. Timed tickets, booking essential.

From Friday 4 December. The village switch-on opens a month of festive Barnes — lights, late-night shopping, carols and stalls around the High Street and Barnes Green.

Typically the second Saturday of May. A long-running charity fair on Richmond Green — 200+ craft and charity stalls, a vintage funfair, a dog show and live entertainment.

Typically the second Saturday of June. A 40-year-old community fair on Ham Common — stalls, a dog show, live music, food and family entertainment, run by the Ham & Petersham Association.

The first Saturday of July. A family summer fair on Parsons Green — 100+ stalls, live music, a funfair, donkey rides and a petting farm, raising funds for the Fulham Good Neighbours charity.
