Age UK's popular Daytime Disco for over-55s returns in Twickenham
Age UK Richmond has brought back its well-loved Daytime Disco for over-55s, held at the Civic Centre on York Street in Twickenham. The event, run in partnership with the ETNA Centre, has been drawing crowds for two years now, offering an afternoon of dancing, live music and good company in a relaxed and friendly setting.
The playlist leans heavily on the classics — expect the biggest hits of the 1950s, 60s and 70s — and the format is deliberately sociable, designed both for regulars to catch up with familiar faces and for newcomers to meet people in their community.
For Barnes residents who might be looking for this kind of afternoon out, Twickenham is a straightforward journey by bus or train, and the Civic Centre is well served by public transport. It is also a useful option for anyone with a parent or older relative who might appreciate the outing.
To book a place, you can register online, email wellbeing@ageukrichmond.org.uk or call 020 8744 1965. The venue is at 44 York Street, Twickenham, TW1 3BZ.
